Notes from a Virtual Move-In Day: On Burnout, Blueprints, and Our New Digital Home

There is a unique kind of chaos that comes with moving house.

You are surrounded by boxes, each one cryptically labelled with a single, unhelpful word like “KITCHEN” or “STUFF.” You spend an hour searching for the kettle, only to find it packed in a box with your winter coats. The air smells of fresh paint and possibility, but also faintly of dust and disruption. There is an echo in the empty rooms that feels both exciting and unnerving. You are utterly exhausted, your back aches, and yet, there is a deep, quiet thrill.

You are home.

That is precisely where I find myself today, writing to you from the newly painted, virtually-unpacked rooms of The Digital Content Studio’s new home on Squarespace. This wasn’t a simple move. It was a complete, down-to-the-studs rebuild, and just like any real-world move, it was a little bit stressful, took longer than I’d planned, and involved at least one moment of sitting on the floor surrounded by boxes, wondering if I’d made a terrible mistake.

But I am here now, the digital kettle is on, and I am so incredibly excited to welcome you in.

Every Founder's Story: The House That No Longer Fits

This move wasn't born from a desire for a simple refresh or a new coat of virtual paint. It was a necessity, born from a story that I know many of you will find intimately familiar.

My previous website, my old digital home on Wix, was a place I had built room by room, over many years. It was a house that held the ghosts of a dozen different business models. There was the "PR Agency" room, the "Event Planning" wing, the "Handmade Product" attic. I had launched blogs, made bath bombs, offered every kind of 1:1 service you can imagine. And with each new pivot, I simply added another room, another extension, another piece of furniture until the layout no longer made any sense.

From the outside, it looked fine. Polished, even. But behind the scenes, I was quietly exhausted by the upkeep. I was navigating a labyrinth of my own making, wondering why a business I was pouring my entire soul into felt so unsustainable. Every time one part of it started to gain momentum, I would realise that I didn’t enjoy being in that room, or that I couldn’t keep it going without burning out completely.

For the longest time, I thought I had a “consistency problem.” I believed the fault was mine—that I just needed more discipline, more hustle, a better morning routine.

It took me a decade to realise the truth: I didn’t have a consistency problem; I had a clarity problem. The issue wasn’t my work ethic. It was the architecture. I didn’t need more discipline; I needed a business model—a blueprint—that was actually designed for the life I wanted to live.

The Rebuild That Redefined Everything

The Digital Content Studio, in its current, intentional form, was born from the quiet, messy, behind-the-scenes rebuild that most people never see. It was a slow process of stripping everything back—my offers, my marketing, my platforms—and starting again with more honesty and less pressure.

I stopped building things just because someone else said they were “what works.” Instead, I created a calm, strategic space where I could build and sell the strategic digital assets that aligned with how I truly wanted to work. No pressure to go viral. No comparison spirals. Just well-designed systems that made sense.

This new website is the physical manifestation of that internal rebuild. It is not just a new design; it is a new home, built from a completely new blueprint. A blueprint founded on the core belief that we can build businesses of substance without sacrificing our sanity.

A Quick Tour of Our New Home (and a small warning)

As you explore, you will feel the difference. There is more light. More white space. The rooms are intentional, each one serving a clear purpose. The journey from the front door to the heart of the studio is now a straight line, not a maze. This is the architecture of clarity.

It is an elevated experience, designed to reflect the quality and strategic depth of the work we do here. It is the digital equivalent of a calm, beautifully designed, and meticulously organised creative studio.

Now, for the small warning. Anyone who knows me will know that I am a relentless perfectionist. While we have unpacked the main furniture, you may find that the paint is still drying in a few corners. We are still hanging the art. We will likely be tweaking, refining, and elevating this space for months to come, because a brand, like a home, is a living, breathing entity. It is never truly “done.” But this is its new, powerful, and permanent foundation.

So, What Does This Move Mean For You?

This is the most important question, and the answer is everything. This rebuild was not for me; it was for you.

For Our Valued Creator Suite Members:

This move directly impacts you in the most positive way. We will soon be migrating our entire membership—The Creator Suite—from its current home to a brand new, seamlessly integrated space right here on Squarespace.

This is a massive upgrade. For you, it will mean a simpler, more elegant user experience, a single login for everything in the studio’s world, and a more powerful platform for us to deliver even more valuable content.

During the migration, the current membership will need to go offline for a brief, planned period. Please do not worry. This is a carefully managed process, and we will be in constant communication. As soon as the new Suite is live, you will receive a personal email with your new login details.

This move also signals an evolution in the content itself. We are expanding our focus to ensure you are always ahead of the curve, with a deeper emphasis on the strategies and tools that matter now—particularly in the world of AI—to ensure you are not just keeping up, but leading the way.

For Our Template & Product Clients:

This new website is designed to serve you with far more clarity. Our "Signature Collections" of Squarespace, Showit and Wix templates are now showcased in a way that truly reflects their strategic value. The Studio Shop is more intuitive, and the entire process of finding the right asset for your brand is now a simpler, more elegant experience.

This site is now a living example of the very principles we build into our products: strategic design, intuitive navigation, and a calm, authoritative presence.

For Those New to Our World:

If you are just discovering us, you have arrived at the perfect moment. This website is the definitive statement of what we believe, and you are our very first guest. It is a house built with a different set of rules.

A House Built on a Different Blueprint

The blueprints for this new home were drawn from a single, guiding principle: a business should enrich your life, not consume it.

This means you will not find any rooms here dedicated to the "hustle culture." There is no shrine to the 5 AM club or the relentless pursuit of viral fame. Instead, you will find a library filled with deep, strategic thinking. You will find a studio designed for focused, intentional work. You will find a lounge where the conversations are about sustainability, not just scale.

My promise, as the architect of this space, is that everything within these walls is built with purpose. Every template in The Studio Shop is a load-bearing wall for your brand, engineered with a decade of my own experience. Every article in The Journal is a window designed to let in light and clarity. The Creator Suite is the inner sanctum, the private commons room for our most committed members to share strategies and support.

This is my invitation to you to make this space your own. Consider this your open door to a quieter, more strategic way of building. The kettle is on, the library is open, and the community is waiting.

If you are a founder who believes in substance over spectacle, in strategy over stress, then this is more than just a new website. It is a resource, a sanctuary, and a testament to the fact that you are not alone.

So please, take your time. Explore the new rooms. Get a feel for the place.

We are so glad to have you. Welcome home.

With my very best,

Jane x
